Clay Planters with Rose Walker
Event description
Join talented ceramicist Rose Walker and create your own personalised plant pot using hand building techniques.
Rose, the face behind RAW Ceramics, has been working with clay for over 20 years. She had a successful solo show at Murray Bridge Regional Gallery last year, and regularly teaches wheel throwing, hand building and glaze techniques at Henley and Grange Arts Society as well as in her Murray Bridge Studio.
In this workshop you will have the opportunity to learn hand building techniques to create a planter using coils and slabs of clay. This pot will not be made on a wheel, but instead made by hand, giving the final product a unique organic look.
Your works will be taken back to Rose's studio to dry, bisque fire and glaze, and will be returned to the gallery for you to collect about 3 to 4 weeks after the workshop.
