Derrick McManus, CSP – Certified Speaking Professional, Former President of the Professional Speakers Association (South Australia), ex-South Australian Police Sergeant, sniper, tactical diver, and counter-terrorist operative with the elite STAR Group, brings a wealth of experience in resilience, leadership, and communication.

Having survived being shot 14 times in under 5 seconds and lying wounded for 3 hours during a high-risk operation, Derrick’s story of grit and endurance is both powerful and inspirational. With over 20 years of international speaking experience, he has presented to diverse audiences from students to CEOs, in groups as small as 7 and as large as 4000.

🗣️About the Speaker:
Derrick McManus is a former South Australian Police officer who served in the elite Special Tasks And Rescue (STAR) Group. His experience includes specialist skills as a sniper, diver, and counter-terrorist tactics training with the Special Air Services Regiment (SAS). Derrick survived being shot 14 times in less than 5 seconds during a high-risk arrest operation, lying wounded for 3 hours before rescue. His remarkable story of resilience and recovery has made him a sought-after speaker and trainer on the international circuit for the past two decades.

This interactive masterclass will guide participants through hands-on public speaking exercises. The session is designed to enhance key communication skills and provide a strong foundation for confident, impactful presentations.
