Event description

Join us on the grasslands and floodplains of a protected Savernake property for an interactive field day focused on enhancing farm dams, conserving wetland environments, and improving water management. A must for landholders and anyone interested in our region's environment - all welcome! 

Featuring guest presenters from:

  • NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust
  • Local Land Services
  • and more!

This event will include activities and sessions covering:

  • Dam/wetland enhancement and vegetation
  • Water bug (macroinvertebrate) identification as indicators of water quality
  • Private land conservation and biodiversity management
  • An intro to farm water planning and actions

A free event, with morning tea and lunch provided.

What to bring: 

  • Hat and sunscreen
  • Boots/sturdy enclosed footwear
  • Water bottle
  • Chair 

Address: The event will commence at a property in Savernake, NSW (Dogleg Swamp, Boat Rock Road - directions provided upon registration). The second half of the event, including lunch, will be at the Savernake School of the Arts Hall.
