Climate change isn't just an environmental crisis- it’s a health crisis too! 

Join us for “Climate Change and Health: What Can I Do as an Individual,” - an interactive event exploring the intersection between climate change and health. Hear from inspiring experts discussing the health impacts of climate change and discover practical solutions you can apply today to drive positive change. Through expert panel discussions and networking opportunities, attendees will gain valuable insights into how they can contribute to a healthier, more sustainable future and connect with like-minded individuals. 🌏💚💬

This event aims to educate and raise awareness about the health impacts of climate change while inspiring hope through the stories of experts and existing initiatives.


What to Expect:

6:00 PM - 6:25 PM | Registration & Refreshment - An opportunity for casual networking, light snacks, and refreshments before we kick off.

6:25 PM - 6:30 PM | Welcome & Opening - We begin with an acknowledgment of the Wallumattagal clan of the Dharug nation, explain the purpose behind the event, and provide an overview of what's in store for the evening.

6:30 PM - 7:30 PM | Expert Panel & Q&A - Join Dr. Aditya Vyas (Public Health Physician with diverse expertise in health system climate resilience and environmental sustainability, global health, and medical education, and Board Member of Doctors for the Environment Australia [DEA]), Michelle Isles (CEO of Australia's Climate and Health Alliance [CAHA] and Board Member of the Global Climate and Health Alliance [GCHA]), Dr. Kim Loo (Board Member of Doctors for the Environment Australia [DEA], GP in Western Sydney, and the Chair of Asian Australians for Climate Solutions) and Emily Rowland (Co-founder of Erthly Collective & Science Director at the Youth Climate Policy Center) in a panel that explores their journey, insights, and the intersection of climate change and health—followed by a Q&A session.

7:30 PM - 8:00 PM | Where to From Here Discussion - It’s the time to turn insight into action. Through questions and input from the experts, you will learn tangible ways to positively contribute to the environment, climate change, and health space. Expect thought-provoking discourse and leave with an individual action plan.

8:00 PM - 8:30 PM | Ending of Formal Event & Casual Networking - We’ll wrap up the formal event, but the conversation doesn’t need to stop there! Stick around as we will open the floor for you to network, make new connections, and explore collaboration opportunities. You are more than welcome to leave before 8:30 PM.
