    Event description

As the world progresses towards net zero emissions, governments, investors and consumers will increasingly favour lower and zero emissions products.  Policy decisions to cut emissions in one part of the world will reverberate along global supply chains, presenting myriad challenges and opportunities for a country like Australia.

Following the release of its latest research report, Trade and investment trends in a decarbonising world, the Climate Change Authority will use this opportunity to present its insights into how Australia can respond: by viewing reducing emissions not as a cost but as a source of competitive advantage.

Join the Chair, Grant King, and Chief Executive Officer, Brad Archer, of the Climate Change Authority, live along with keynote speakers Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia, Guy Debelle, Chief Executive Officer of the Business Council of Australia, Jennifer Westacott AO and Chairman and Founding Partner of Affirmative Investment Management, Stephen Fitzgerald AO, as they discuss what it will take for Australia to prosper in a decarbonising world.

The event will be held on 3 November at 8:00-9:00pm (Canberra/Sydney/Melbourne) and broadcast from 9:00-10:00am (Glasgow, United Kingdom) as part of the COP26 Australian Pavilion program of events.
