Climate Emotional Resilience 10-Step Program for Scientists and STEM Professionals
Event description
Join us to build solidarity and alleviate burnout in this age of climate and polycrisis. Based on Good Grief Network's model, this ten-week program will support scientists and STEM professionals in metabolizing grief, anger, numbness, anxiety or despair in a community of peers. For two hours per week over 10 weeks, we will explore themes such as coping with the severity of the predicament, uncertainty, mortality, inner work, cognitive bias, orienting to beauty and connection, rest, social justice, showing up for a better world, and taking action. With neuroscience-backed emotional regulation practices, thoughtful writing prompts, well-facilitated sharing, guided meditations and curated poetry, these groups offer a heart-felt experience that aims to restore joy in your life and engagement in your meaningful work.
