Climate Fresk: AACGS Climate Action Community Workshop

Join us for a free Climate Fresk workshop hosted by AACGS, facilitated by People For Nature and supported by Better Ideas Pty Ltd.

Climate Fresk is an interactive, science-based workshop that helps participants understand the causes, impacts and interconnected nature of climate change through collaboration, discussion and systems thinking.

Working together in small groups, you’ll explore the links between the different mechanisms driving climate change and build a shared understanding of the bigger picture. The workshop then moves from understanding to action, creating space to discuss solutions and consider how we can contribute to a more sustainable future.

Whether you’re new to climate change, curious to learn more, or already active in sustainability, this workshop offers a welcoming and engaging environment to learn, connect and exchange ideas.

The event forms part of AACGS’s commitment to community education, stewardship and social action, helping communities better understand climate change and their role in creating a more sustainable future.

🌍 What is Climate Fresk?

Climate Fresk is a collaborative educational workshop based on established climate science and the findings of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

The workshop uses a 39-card game, with each card representing an element of the climate system. Working in teams and guided by a trained facilitator, participants identify the cause-and-effect relationships between the different mechanisms and forces at play.

By building the “Fresk” together, participants develop a clearer understanding of the complexity and interconnectedness of climate change. The workshop concludes with a discussion about solutions and opportunities for action.

More than 2.4 million people worldwide have already participated in Climate Fresk.

Climate Fresk is suitable for anyone aged 14 and over, regardless of their existing knowledge or experience.

• New to climate change? Build a strong understanding of the fundamentals in just three hours.

• Already knowledgeable or active in sustainability? Discover a powerful tool for raising climate awareness and empowering others.

• Under 14? An alternative format is available for younger audiences.
