Event description

The Climate Justice Forum is a one-night speaker panel and concert hosted by Environmentalists of Color Collective (ECC). This year we are celebrating the Climate Justice Forum's sixth year on campus! This tradition has been one of the main environmental justice focused events that have highlighted voices of color. This year's CJF theme is Envisioning a Sustainable Urban Development Rhetoric. The goal of CJF is to raise awareness about the contributions that people of color have made to the environmental sustainability movement; reframe conceptions of disadvantaged/vulnerable communities; and stimulate critical dialogue about environmental racism and injustice issues and climate resilience at UCLA and beyond. We will have free Thai food catered for all attendees, followed by a one hour panel discussion with community activists and local politicians involved in sustainability and environmental justice.
