Climate Network Meeting September 2025
Event description
Climate Network meeting: Climate resilient homes
This Climate Network meeting will explore climate resilient housing. What is a climate resilient home? Why are they important for people experiencing poverty and disadvantage? How can community organisations be involved in supporting and advocating for climate resilient housing?
During this meeting, attendees will hear from:
Damian Sullivan from Brotherhood of St Laurence about the Climate Safe Homes project
Lisa Merkesteyn from Castlemaine Institute about the Retrofitting for Resilience project
This meeting will be held online on Thursday September 18 from 10-11:30am AEST.
Presentations will be followed by an opportunity for discussion in breakout rooms. VCOSS members will have an opportunity to feed into VCOSS’ new project to identify solutions to strengthen flood resilience for Victorians on low incomes.
Meeting attendees are more than welcome to join breakout room discussions to observe. You don’t have to be part of the Climate Network to attend.
