Description

This event is proudly hosted by the Mulberry Community Garden spring festival, and delivered by Kat Lavers, a small space food production specialist, gardening educator and permaculture designer.

Learn how to create a beautiful, productive garden that thrives with less water in our changing climate. We will cover garden design for water efficiency, managing soil for better moisture retention, selecting waterwise plants, efficient watering techniques and systems like drip irrigation, wicking beds, and wicking pots suitable for renters. We will also discuss simple greywater solutions and rainwater harvesting options.

This is an outdoor event and will go ahead in all weather, so please come prepared with hat, sunscreen, rain jacket, water bottle etc.

If you have any access or support questions or requirements in order to participate fully (eg. interpreter), please let us know at least two weeks prior to the event and we will be pleased to assist you. Photos will be taken at this event, but there is an option to opt out on the day.
