Event description

In this presentation, you will learn about the latest developments in science and technology with regard to climate change and renewable energy.

The webinar will cover the enormous progress being made in China, to cut its emissions and transition its economy to
run on wind and solar. Also discussed will be developments in Europe and the United States, where emissions are still falling, despite the return of Donald Trump. An assessment will be
made of the prospects the world has of reaching net zero by mid-century.

After the presentation, there will be time for questions, and a discussion of what individuals can do to mitigate climate change.

Your presenter is Ken Enderby, President of Climate Action Burwood-Canada Bay. Ken has degrees in History and Economics from Macquarie and Sydney Universities
respectively, and in 2020 completed a year-long course on climate change with Queensland University. He appears regularly in Australia’s mainstream newspapers, and has also been featured on commercial television and the ABC..
