    Clinical trials are a mystery to many people. What are clinical trials? How and where would I find one? Why might you take part in a trial, and what should you know before you do?  What happens if I say no, or yes? And more…. This session aim to address some of the common questions and misconceptions about clinical trials, and provide a safe space for you to ask anything you might wonder about trials. 

    To create a safe place for people to ask questions, the session will not be recorded. Please follow our socials for more information on future sessions, if you cannot attend this one. 

    About the presenter:

    Janelle Bowden, PhD is a passionate advocate for improving the efficiency of, access to and the experience of clinical trials, as well as involving people in the design and conduct of research which aims to benefit their communities. This passion has evolved both through her professional experiences running clinical trials, and from listening to the questions and stories that trial participants and their carers have generously shared with her over the years. Janelle is Managing Director of AccessCR Pty Ltd, a social enterprise providing services to research sector in order to provide support and advocacy for the needs of the Community and Consumer Research Workforce (CCReW) ie. the individuals and their carers interested, taking part in and involved in research, especially clinical trials.
