Event description

CLIPPED curates a special night of exclusive Australian Music Video Premieres on the big screen at Newcastle Comedy Club on Sunday 28th July 2024 from 6pm.

CLIPPED Music Video Premieres is a night celebrating the art-form of music video. There will also be a screening of classic clips from the 70s-80s restored from original film by Piccolo Productions and never before seen in high definition, including clips from Midnight Oil & Split Enz!

Classic clips premiering in Newcastle from the archives of Piccolo Productions include ‘Read About It’ by Midnight Oil (Dir. Ray Argall) & ‘Message To My Girl’ by Split Enz (Dir. Ray Argall). As well as In Conversations with all the creators, celebrated filmmaker Ray Argall will take part in a live Q&A to share stories from a bygone era and secrets around his unique film restoration process.
