Close Counters - Live at Summertown Studio

PORCH RECORDS PRESENTS:

a peak summer jazzy disco dance parti,

outdoors beneath the disco balls of the summertown studio pergola.

Emerging from the depths of Melbourne are Allan McConnell and Finn Rees who are known for their electrifying fusion of electronic, disco and jazz.

Close Counters’ whirlwind 2025 saw the duo release their first full-length-original-record, ‘LOVERS DANCE ACADEMY’, which climbed to #3 on ARIA’s Jazz & Blues Album Chart, and was widely supported by Jazz FM, BBC Radio 1Xtra, 6Music, KEXP Seattle, Double J, RRR, PBS and UK tastemaker Tina Edwards noted the record was “the best dance album of the year”.

This will be such a fun show.

Local food, a local bar & our full vinyl selection - open all night long.

Porch Records brings to you:
A beautiful evening of music, wine, vinyl and niceness at our creative home, Summertown Studio.
A warehouse nestled in the industrial zone of Somerton Park 20 minutes from Adelaide CBD, and 4 minutes from the beach.

By day, it operates as a creative space, complete with a coffee bar, retail space, record store and home to creative tenants. By night, the space is completely transformed into a live music venue, for curated touring shows. We bring in all production & operators for each individual shows, and it's truly something special.

This will truly be something magic.
