Autumn Alive Closing Night Party
Event description
We're going out with a bang for Autumn Alive with our Laman Closing Party on Sat 21 May!
Moved indoors to accommodate for wet weather, Autumn Alive has the pleasure of closing out with the wonderful Newcastle-based rapper MEER, live DJ's and an interactive live art experience with Newcastle Art Gallery in collaboration with emerging artist Holly Macdonald and local transdisciplinary studio Art Thinking Australia. There will be a bar, and food available, with a free drink on arrival with your ticket!
MEER
Newcastle-based MEER is a Muslim Palestinian/Iraqi rapper originally from Auckland, NZ. Her raw, unapologetic and originality in music is breaking boundaries in the rap scene. MEER has a boundary shattering raw approach to hip hop, showering listeners buckets of attitude over thumping bass driven instrumentals. Previously gracing the stages of festivals such as Auckland City Limits, Splore and Laneway.
