Closing Party: ILUVBIENNIAL SO MUCH
A closing party to get you through the next two years
The 2026 Canberra Art Biennial is coming to a close and we want to say a huge thank you to every artist, curator, installer, donor, partner, visitor and friend who helped make this festival what it has been.
2 years in the planning, 7 weeks of exhibitions, conversations and events, and now, one last party!
Bring your friends, come hungry, have a dance, try the wine, and tell the household not to wait up for you (it’s going to be a late one).
Because the next one is two years away, and you really don't want to hear about this party afterwards...
This closing party is hosted by ANCA and Canberra Art Biennial.

Alisdair Brooke-Taylor
As both a ceramicist and a chef, there’s no one we trust more with the fires of the ANCA barbecue. Alisdair has spent 20 years cooking in some of the more interesting restaurants around the world, travelling and working with some of industry’s top ranked chefs. Through his time in kitchens, working with fire and fresh ingredients, Alisdair developed an appreciation for handmade and functional ceramics. After running his own restaurant in the UK, Alisdair returned to Australia where he currently heads the kitchen of Canberra's most beloved wine bar, Bar Rochford.

MADA Wines
Mada Wines is a Canberra-based wine label founded and led by winemaker Hamish Young. Mada is built on long-standing partnerships with some of the region's most respected growers across the Canberra District, Hilltops and Tumbarumba. This grower-led model lets Mada draw on distinct soils and microclimates across the region to build a genuinely diverse, site-expressive range each vintage. Mada's philosophy starts with the belief that exceptional wine begins with exceptional people — the growers, not just the winemaker. Hamish has built enduring relationships with viticulturists and each Mada wine is presented as a direct expression of the vineyard and grower behind it. The brand's tone is modern, precise and unpretentious — wines described in playful, honest language rather than formal wine-speak, which gives Mada strong appeal with a broader, curious festival audience as well as the trade.
