Event description

Join Carey Wright, multi-winner of the WA Waste Sorted Innovation Award, to learn more about:

  • The state of WA's textile waste and the issues associated with fast fashion.
  • How to identify different types of textiles and why it's important for building a sustainable wardrobe.
  • How to extend the life of your items through proper care- including stain removal and washing techniques, and the best methods for drying and storing.
  • Different methods you can adopt to maintain and repair your textiles and accessories.

The presentation will be followed by WMRC's morning clothing swap where you can swap clothes, shoes, and accessories you no longer wear and leave with a refreshed wardrobe without the big spend! 👗
