Ryder specialises in working with existing garments to reduce waste, helping you transform unworn favourites into pieces you’ll love and wear again.
What to expect:
Expert repairs & alterations: Book a session with Ryder to have your clothing repaired with care and creativity. Whether it’s fixing a split seam, shortening a hem, or adding a unique decorative touch, your garments will receive simple, practical repairs on the day.
Reduce waste & wear sustainably:
Learn how small adjustments can extend the life of your clothes and keep textiles out of landfill. You’ll leave with refreshed items and tips to care for your wardrobe more sustainably.
All sewing materials and tools are provided.
Repairs available include:
Replacing a button
Replacing a hook and eye
Replacing cord in drawstring pants
Repairing an open seam
Shortening shoulder straps
Basic hemming of pants
Repairing holes or worn areas with a decorative patch
Places are limited, so bookings are essential and open to City of Canada Bay residents only. To help us prepare, please tell us what needs fixing when you book, and remember to bring your items along on the day.
