The philosophy behind the festival...

Australians are the biggest consumers of new fashion on average in the world, purchasing 56 new garments per year per person! With 10% of global carbon emissions caused by the fashion industry, Aussie’s contribute significantly to these figures.

Clothing the loop ignites sustainable textile practices, connects stakeholders and empowers you with the tools to make conscious choices to help reduce the impacts of climate change.

With support from the ACT Government's Community Zero Emissions Grant Program, The Vault, The Green Shed, Keli Studio, HerCanberra, Doma Hotels, Craft + Design Canberra, Seamless, SeeChange, Samsara Eco, Nina Gbor, Edition, Wasted, Saloon Design House, Maak and Canberra Institute of Technology.
