Club Sandwich
Event description
Club Sandwich.
It's no picnic.
Welcome to Australia’s Sandwich Generation – the beautiful, chaotic middle of life where you’re caring for ageing parents while juggling kids, work, and everything else.
One minute you’re on a Zoom call, the next you’re explaining Wi-Fi to Mum while your kids yell for help with homework. You’re making life-and-death decisions about doctors and bank accounts, and then wondering what’s for dinner. It’s exhausting, it’s beautiful, and honestly…it’s often hilarious.
That’s why we created Club Sandwich – a night of comedy storytelling that embraces the chaos. Forget sugar-coating: this is real life, raw and funny, told by people who know the juggle all too well.
Hosted by journalist and broadcaster Sarah Macdonald, you’ll laugh (and maybe cry a little) as Jean Kittson, Kerry Milligan, and Brent Thorpe take the stage to share their outrageous, relatable, and laugh-out-loud tales of navigating parents, kids, careers, and everything in between.
It’s comedy with heart. A little therapy, a lot of truth, and plenty of laughs.
Because when the middle of life gets messy, sometimes the best thing you can do is laugh about it.
