ABOUT
This local Youth group is supported by the Kin Kin Community Group and Noosa Council has provided funding for this age group to help us deliver community-led programs and respond to the needs of our local Teenager Youths. The programs and events are mostly subsidised, however as places are limited, provide high value and commitment is required then a small charge may apply.
This program is broken into 3 main areas:
- 'Makers and Bakers' lifestyle workshops hosted by the local The Aunty Project Â
- Look out for pop up Lifestyle workshops at the Kin Kin School of Arts Hall incorporating FUN and INTERACTIVE activities and topics, and inter-generational connection passing on life skills, wisdom and mentoring in interest areas. There will be practical country-style living skills and values sharing with a modern twist, with a workshop hosted each season as part of the 'Makers and Bakers,' series. This is hosted with The Aunty Project that is supported by local 'Aunties and Uncles' living in Community to support inter-generational sharing and support.
- 'Teen Adventure Days Out' with Special Interest/ School and Social Programs
- Look out for pop up Special Interest events and Social events connecting more with Community peers and where they reside, you can register to attend.Â
NEXT DATES: Summer School Holidays program see below details.Â
- 'Trainings' and other EducationÂ
- To support the interests of first jobs, upskilling and gaining 'work experience' and other 'educational' areas, there will be some great opportunities coming up to better prepare and support Teenager Youths.
NEXT DATES: Please express your interest for Barista Training, or Cafe skills / Food Safety or Road driving education course for L's and P's with Road Craft - simply select the ticket option and you'll be invited first when dates are finalised. We look forward to having local Youths connect more through these upcoming opportunities and programs!
[ Please note: as numbers may be limited to some activities and special interest events, priority will be given to those who register first in from Kin Kin residents and Youths attending Kin Kin State School, followed by Cootharatha and other Hinterland residents to follow. If there is a demand for activities we will discuss further with the funding body Noosa Council on Youths growing needs. Thank you for understanding]. There may be waitlists and late cancelations so please register anyway!
