Join us for an epic, year-long odyssey as we transform the CNC Community Garden into a vibrant hub of connection, hands-on learning and shared abundance.

Learn how to propagate as we grow edible and ornamental plants for sale, and get hands-on tips and practical experience as we plant out new perennial beds and cultivate a wide variety of vegetables to share with the community.

This will be a structured program, with plenty of planned mini-workshops and activities that you can come along and get involved in. Think of it as an ‘Introduction to Horticulture’ – over the year we will cover soil health, composting, irrigation systems, propagation, seed collecting, cut flower growing, pest and disease control, pruning and much, much more.

You can join us for the entire year or drop in and out as you please. No pressure. This is supposed to be fun! We will also be starting a brand-new community-led nursery to fund this grand plan. And it is a grand plan.

Think workshops, seed bank, tool library and plots to rent. Think gathering, sharing, supporting and learning from one another. Envision a space where anyone in the community can come and learn how to garden – not just grow food, but all aspects of horticultural wonder.

Propagation Cuttings

• Mini workshop learning how to take cuttings from many popular plants. These cuttings will be grown on for later sales, including herbs, annuals, perennials & shrubs. They can be kept in the cool, shaded nursery.
• WORKING BEE: Start building a small nursery containment area behind the covered bench.
