Event description

Upskill in co-design through applied learning and coaching from an experienced practitioner. This 6-month training program is for designers and social innovators seeking to build and extend their participatory practice.

Designed and delivered by Emma Blomkamp, the program integrates best practice in experiential learning, creative and participatory approaches to public and social innovation, ethical principles, and practical knowledge of the joys and challenges of co-design with diverse communities in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Courses will be held online on the last Thursday of each month, beginning 29 April 2021, at 4pm-6pm AEST / 6pm-8pm NZT / 8am-10am CET.

By the end of the six-month bootcamp, you will be confident to lead collaborative and participatory activities with a diverse range of stakeholders and community members. You will be able to identify and address issues related to power sharing, so-called ‘hard-to-reach’ communities, consultation fatigue, building trust and understanding impact. You will also gain skills in remote engagement and online facilitation.
