Event description

Have you ever invested a lot of time and money into your garden, only to see your plants fail? The problem might be your soil. No matter what plants you choose, if they’re in the wrong soil, they won’t thrive.

If this sounds familiar, join us for a free workshop on soil! Learn about pH levels, nutrients, soil types, and the components of living soil. You’ll also learn about soil rehabilitation and improving  its health.

Participants will get hands-on experience by making a batch of potting mix from scratch, so don’t forget to bring your gardening gloves!

This workshop is a Coastal Community Garden initiative for City of Stirling Community Gardens Open Day where you can also enjoy kids activities, garden tours, refreshments, and the chance to purchase raffle tickets.

Coastal Community Garden is nestled behind the North Beach Tennis Club and share the carpark with the North Beach Rugby League Club.
