Sun, 25 May, 10am - 12pm AEST

Event description

Come and join us for an immersive coastal foraging experience.  Our knowledgeable Ethnobotanist Jess will take you on a guided walk along the pristine bay beach of Phillip Island while introducing you to local native plants and their uses. During the walk, Jess will also describe the  evolutionary traits of each family and some basic plant physiology. Following the walk, we will have a light morning tea inspired by the native plants you have just learned.

The walk will go ahead in most weather conditions, so pack a raincoat or hat and sunscreen, or both (this is Victoria).  The walk is easy with no fitness level required.  We will be walking a total of about 1-2km.  The beach is great for swimming so pack a pair of bathers and towel for an afterwards dip!
