Coastal Wildflower and Conservation Walk

Do you love being outdoors and care about our natural coastline?
Would you like to explore the seasonal wildflowers along Waterman’s Bay?
Are you curious about conservation volunteering but not yet ready to make the commitment?
Hosted by: Stirling Natural Environment Coastcare (SNEC) in partnership with the City of Stirling

Time: 9:00am – 10:00am
Location: Meet at Watermans Bay Beach Car Park (between Margaret St and Ada St)
This one-hour event will offer insights into the beautiful local plant life, how the coastal vegetation has changed over time, and the role SNEC has played in coastal conservation. Learn hands on the importance of weeding (20 minute light weeding) followed by a gentle stroll (30 minute walk) through coastal vegetation looking at the diversity of plants flowering and hearing about SNEC’s restoration projects in the area.
Following the walk, we invite you to stay for a light morning tea and cuppa.
What to bring:
Hat
Water bottle
Enclosed shoes
Wet weather gear (if rain is forecast)
Gloves and weeding tools provided. Please note the terrain may be uneven and rocky.
