COAST LIFE SUCCESS 2022 TEEN PROGRAMS - ALTERNATIVE LEARNING HUBS ON THE SUNSHINE COAST (Bli Bli, Caloundra & Surrounds)

STEP ONE: Book a free 15 minute initial phone appointment to discuss your teen's potential participation in the upcoming 2022 Coast Life Success for Teens programs commencing from Tuesday 1 February 2022 for Term 1 for Bli Bli and Thursday 10 February 2022 for Caloundra.

STEP TWO: Book an Initial 50 minute or 100 minute Private Session (for Bli Bli Options 1, 2 & 4 only and optional for Bli Bli Option 3 and not required for Caloundra Options C1 and C2). During this initial private session, we discuss what approaches and options an Individual Learning Plan might include for your teen & to discuss the Coast Life Success Teen Programs. Once booked online, a member of the Coast Life Success team will be in touch to arrange a suitable time.

Discounted price for potential Coast Life Success for Teens Program Participants is $66* for the initial 50 minute private session between Maree Fish, Owner of Coast Life Success and Program Director / Teen Mentor of Coast Life Success for Teens Programs & Alternative Learning Hubs, your teen as the potential Program Participant and up to 3 adults ie supporting parents and carers of your teen.

STEP THREE: After the initial session, by mutual agreement you may Book Subsequent 50 minute or Double+ 110 minute Private Sessions to continue Developing an Individual Learning Plan and Program Discussion.

STEP FOUR: We expect that to develop a suitable Individual Learning Plan for your Teen will take between 2 to 3 additional sessions beyond the initial private session (per teen), depending on how much of the work you wish to take on yourselves, or if your teen already has an Individual Learning Plan and we just need to review/enhance this. Parents/adult carers and your teen, along with Coast Life Success, will all contribute to developing or enhancing an Individual Learning Plan. We will consider important aspects to do with your teen's ambitions and interests, their learning style, family budget and access to any government funding or financial support, preferred learning formats etc.

STEP FIVE: Decide on how much of the application, enrolment, learning resources research and procurement you would like to do, or you would like Coast Life Success to assist with. We will always be upfront regarding our charges which will be at an agreed upfront fee-for-service for anything you would like us to arrange, apply for or submit on your behalf.

AN IMPORTANT STEP: Places will be extremely limited, as we will have small groups of just 10 teen participants for our Bli Bli sessions and up to 6 teen participants for our small group Caloundra program.

As soon as all parties feel a program is a good fit for your teen, an invitation will be sent so you may commit to and book your teen's place for Term 1 in 2022.

Only full term program places are available. Please note that not all available programs are detailed below. Additional program offerings can be discussed during our phone consultation/s and email communications. All bookings are made and confirmed subject to the acceptance of the booking terms and conditions of Coast Life Success and our programs which include supervised sessions at our alternative learning hubs in Bli Bli, Caloundra and surrounds.

TERM 1

Learning Hub Venues:

Bli Bli Old Church Community Centre + other Bli Bli and surrounds venues from time to time (for eg for special interest or project activities incorporated into our program) - Options 1 to 4 will be run from Bli Bli and surrounds this term.

There is a bus stop out the front of the Bli Bli Old Church (bus 612 travels east to Maroochydore and west to Nambour).

Humanity HQ at Omrah Avenue Caloundra + surrounds - Options C1 and C2 will be run from Caloundra and surrounds this term.

Option 1)

2 Days per Week "Senior Alternative Education Pathway - On Track for Success Mentorship & Connection Program", Bli Bli & Surrounds

Commencing Tuesday 1 February 2022, Duration - 9 Weeks

Available to teens in grades 10 to 12 equivalent (approx ages 15-17) and grade 9 equivalent with maturity welcome to apply (approx age 14-15).

Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9am - 2pm

Pricing: $77*/day x 2 days/week = $154*/week x 9 weeks = $1386*

Option 2)

1 Day per Week "Coast Life Success for Teens Mentorship & Connection Program", Bli Bli & Surrounds

Commencing Tuesday 1 February or Wednesday 2 February 2022, Duration - 9 Weeks

Available to teens in high school equivalent grades 7 to 12 (approx ages 12-17).

Limited places Tuesdays or Wednesdays, 9am - 2pm

Pricing: $82*/day x 9 weeks = $738*

Option 3)

3.5 Hour Session per Week "Coast Life Success for Teen Homeschoolers - Learning, Mentorship & Connection Hub", Bli Bli & Surrounds

Commencing Wednesday 2 February 2022, Duration - 8 Weeks

Available to teens schooling from home in high school equivalent grades 7 to 12 (approx ages 12-17).

1 parent/carer per family is most welcome to stay for part of or the full duration of their teen's attendance if that will enable the teen participant to feel more comfortable.

Very limited places on Wednesdays, 9am to 12.30pm.

Pricing: $66*/day x 8 weeks = $528*

Option 4)

"Coast Life Success Teen Learning Support Hub", Bli Bli & Surrounds

Commencing Wednesday 2 February 2022, Duration - 8.5 Weeks

Available to ages 12-17 of any grade equivalent whom are also enrolled with a Queensland school of distance education, are enrolled in a school on a modified learning plan or are registered with HEU and using a resource program such as Education Perfect, Simply Homeschool or Euka.

17 x 3 Hour Sessions Tuesdays & Wednesdays across 8.5 weeks.

Tuesdays, 11am – 2pm (variation may be required to stagnate start and finish times to best accommodate the needs of our participants). Tuesdays commence on 8 February 2022 and include 1.5 hours x 8 weeks with an additional learning support assistant and mentor.

Wednesdays, 9.30am - 12.30pm, for 9 weeks, 2 February - 30 March 2022, includes 2 hours x 8 weeks of interactive training sessions in various topics with different themes and areas of interest, delivered by qualified vocational trainers. Week 1 will include a relaxed introduction to the group and familiarising with our trainer / teen mentor and assistant and other learning support participants to ensure everyone feels well supported for the full 3 hours (this may include breakout to do other activities if the training topic is not of interest or the group learning environment is not ideal).

The remainder of the sessions will be dedicated to social engagement and fun group learning activities with other Coast Life Success program participants.

A maximum 4 participants for Option 4 which will run as a subgroup of the larger teen program of up to 10 participants. Option 4 participants will have access to a teen assistant to ensure they are well supported and comfortable.

Pricing: $184*/week x 8.5 weeks = $1564*

Option C1

2.5 Hour Weekly Sessions "Teen Learning & Career Pathways by Design" Program, Humanity HQ, Caloundra & Surrounds

Commencing Thursday 10 February 2022, Duration - 7 Weeks

Available to a maximum of 6 teens aged approximately 14 to 17. Would you like inspiration, guidance and support to create an engaging, alternative learning plan and career pathway which is tailored to your interests and ambitions? We will work together to create or enhance an alternative learning plan / senior education pathway and then via connection days, check in and inspire teens to attain their version of success.

Thursdays, 10.30am - 1pm

Option C2

Private Sessions "Teen Holistic Wellbeing, Education & Career Opportunities Exploration for Teens", Humanity HQ, Caloundra

Appointments available and to be held between 10 February to 24 March 2022 on Thursdays.

Available to teens aged 12 to 19, their parents and/or family members. Teens now have so many opportunities available to them and we will help navigate pathways to give them the best chance of success and holistic wellbeing.

1 x 110min + 1 x 50min session

Please note that non-participants and siblings are generally unable to stay or wait inside our learning hub venues whilst our group sessions are running, with the exception of 1 parent/carer per family by prior arrangement and agreement.
