Cobram Homeschool Bush Kids
Description

Homeschool Busk Kids Adventure Day!
Hi I'm Bonnie, a long time homeschool mumma, support worker and qualified outdoor instructor.
I have been running Bush school type programs since my not so little one was 6 years old (whom is now
17) and prior to homeschool groups, working for school excursion camps and youth programs.
I am incredibly passionate about homeschooling and outdoor education. Having recently moved
to the Riverina, I am absolutely thrilled to offer these programs to our local kids!
There is a list below with some of the topics we cover, but there is so much to learn by just being in
nature, About ourselves and our surroundings. Making connections, friendships and trying new things.
Loving nature and allowing our creative curiosities to come to light.
Trial day for the once a month Outdoor education and Adventure day!

Disclaimer:
At Riverina Bush Kids, we foster the development of young minds by promoting autonomy, critical
thinking, self-assurance, resilience and problem-solving abilities. Which comes from the independence
they get from attending our programs. An incredible display of confidence as they learn in a holistic
space. With carefully selected, child-friendly tools that prioritize safety, our bush kids master new skills
and do so in a way that gives them even more ability to know they can achieve by themselves. Our
programs are rigorously supervised, providing a nurturing environment where children can thrive and
realize their full potential. It also becomes their 'thing'. Call it a village, tribe, whatever suits. It's just for
them. And they truly love that. In their own mind and space, learning and connecting with blossoming
friendships. I have run all types of programs in my many years of experience,
When parents are in attendance, anxiety can be higher, seeking them out, panicked in the cannot see
you, Children do often shy behind parents, sit with parents rather than other children, not
finish activities and get distracted by parents being there, plus display more behaviours of 'needing help'
less engaging also. All of which are critical in a child's development as they learn to feel safe. But so is
the disclaimer above. It is so incredible to watch this process. Children need this opportunity. I'm so
incredibly passionate about what I do, and I can honestly say none of the children display anxious
behaviours, needing/asking for parents etc. They really do thrive because it's such a warm, fun,
enchanting environment. Our feedback and reviews have been impeccable, and I can promise your
children will have an incredible experience.
