Cockburn Cubs at The Happy Hub
Description
We've given our Cockburn Cubs session's a fresh new look - and we're so excited to bring gentle play sessions with our friends from Little Land, made especially for babies aged 9 to 18 months and the grown-ups who love them.
Sessions run across the term through three rotating play worlds - Little Days, Little Adventures and Little Magic - each bringing a new real-life role-play experience to life. Designed for babies at every stage, the themes repeat across the program in 3 week periods.
And because you deserve a little something too - attend three sessions and enjoy a free small coffee on us.

FAQs
- Who are these sessions for?
These sessions are designed for babies aged 9–18 months and their parent, grandparent or primary caregiver.
- How much does it cost?
The sessions are completely free.
- Who runs the sessions?
The sessions are delivered in partnership with Little Land, specialists in creating engaging, play-based experiences for young children.
- Do I need to book?
Yes, bookings are recommended as spaces are limited. Booking online will secure your place and guarantee your spot in the session. We also understand that life with little ones doesn’t always go to plan, so we’ve reserved two walk-in spaces available at each session for families who would like to join us on the day. These spaces are available subject to capacity, so we recommend booking ahead where possible to avoid disappointment.
- What can we expect during a session?
Each session includes:
Welcome song, mirror play and gentle stretches
Themed storytime
Sensory play and role-play exploration
Age-appropriate movement activities
Free play and social time
Goodbye song and calming wind-down
- What should I bring?
Please bring a blanket or play mat so your little one has a comfortable space for floor-based activities.
- Where are the sessions held?
The sessions take place in our newly refreshed Happy Hub.
- What are the different play themes?
Throughout the term, you'll explore three rotating Little Land play worlds:
Little Days
Little Adventures
Little Magic
Each theme repeats across the term, giving babies the chance to revisit and build confidence through familiar play.
At the end of the term, families are invited to celebrate with a special Little Land moment, marking the end of the play program. Each little one will receive their own 'Reach for the stars' certificate!
- Do I need to attend every week?
While you’re welcome to attend a single session, Little Land highly recommend joining across the term - especially for consecutive weeks where possible, so your little one can become familiar with the space, the routine and the adventures we explore together.
At 9 to 18 months, repetition and consistency help little ones feel safe and confident. As they begin to recognise the songs, faces and rhythm of each session, they can relax, explore and engage more each time they return. It’s also a beautiful opportunity for parents and carers to connect with other families, build friendships and create a little community along the way.
- What happens if I can't attend?
If you're unable to make your session, please cancel your booking as soon as possible so another family can enjoy the spot.
- Is the program suitable for babies who aren't walking yet?
Absolutely! Activities are thoughtfully designed for babies at all developmental stages, whether they're sitting, crawling, cruising or walking.
- Can siblings attend?
Unfortunately, siblings cannot attend these sessions. This helps maintain a safe environment for babies and allows us to keep class sizes manageable.
- Can more than one adult attend with my baby?
To help manage capacity and create a comfortable environment for all families, we recommend one adult attends with each baby. If you'd like to bring another caregiver, please check with the event organisers before your session.
- Is the space pram friendly?
Yes. Families are welcome to bring a pram, although space may be limited during sessions. If possible, we recommend parking prams in the designated area.
- What if my baby is unsettled during the session?
That's completely okay. Babies are welcome to explore at their own pace, and you're free to step out and return whenever your little one is ready. The sessions are designed to be relaxed and flexible for families.
