Coeliac Safe Food - Culture vs Behaviour
Event description
A growing community of people are preferentially seeking coeliac safe gluten free options when dining out and are bringing their friends along with them. People diagnosed with coeliac disease must follow a strict gluten-free diet for life. This event is to recognise Coeliac Awareness Week 7-13th June and to find out about the Dining out Programme training and accreditation for the hospitality industry.
Hear from Coeliac NZ and Professor Andrew Day from the Medical Advisory Panel about coeliac disease and Karen Gough and Ian Shaw from Auditing Solutions NZ Ltd about the requirements and intent of the DoP Standard, and how controls around allergen management (including gluten) impact kitchen and operator behaviour.
This is a free event for the hospitality industry; but everyone is welcome. Registrations are essential.
