Event description

Coercive control can affect anyone. Perpetrators may use a range of abusive behaviours—physical, non-physical, or a combination of both—all of which can have serious and lasting impacts on victim-survivors, their families, and communities.

Designed to equip practitioners with the knowledge and skills to identify and respond to coercive control effectively. Tailored specifically for family and domestic violence workers in the community services sector, it offers a comprehensive, practical approach to this critical issue.

Key topics include:

  • Understanding and Recognising Coercive Control
  • Legal and Policy Framework in NSW
  • Practical Interventions and Support
  • Case Scenarios and Interactive Exercises
  • Staff Wellbeing and Support
  • Q&A, Evaluation, and Resources

Facilitated by The Centre for Community Welfare Training (CCWT)

Join us for this essential training to strengthen your response to coercive control in your practice.
