Coffee & Claytime at MOA

Event description

At Grounded By Designs, we’re all about taking time to connect and create. Our space, nestled within the charming, renovated warehouse of MOA & co in Carrington, is the perfect spot to enjoy a cuppa while shaping your own functional piece of art.

The intention

Join me, Myf, for a relaxed morning where the focus is on the simple pleasures—sipping on your favourite coffee or tea from MOA Coffee Co while you unwind and explore the art of hand-building with clay. This is your time to slow down and enjoy the creative process.

What to expect

In your Coffee & Claytime workshop, I’ll first guide you step-by-step through creating your own unique vessel, whether it’s a cup, bowl, or vase. We’ll cover the basics—how to pinch pot, and attach a handle or a foot—and from there, you’ll have the freedom to make another piece or try something different. All tools and materials are provided, along with plenty of clay to bring your ideas to life.

Once finished

Once you’re done, you can choose up to three pieces to be glazed and fired. Please allow 4–6 weeks for them to be ready for pick-up, where they’ll be waiting for you to take home and enjoy.

If you decide your pieces aren’t quite what you had in mind, don’t worry—we’ll offer you a credit to use in-store at Grounded By Designs or towards another workshop.

Our goal is to make your time with us enjoyable and rewarding, no matter the outcome of your clay creations.
