Come join us on Friday 30th October as we will first hear from Phoebe Davies from Wynn Williams, Te Ōhaka’s official legal sponsor. Phoebe will be speaking about the importance of understanding the legal fundamentals for startups and how Wynn Williams plays a key role in supporting early-stage founders with legal matters that are most commonly faced by startups.
After the break, we'll hear from Jeffrey Ling - former VP of Taiwan’s Startup Stadium Accelerator and ex-programme manager for Creative HQ’s Lightning Lab Tourism Accelerator. Jeffrey is also an experienced startup founder, advisor, and investor as well as Te Ōhaka's brand new Incubation Manager. At this event, Jeffrey will provide an overview of what the Startup Incubation Programme at Te Ōhaka looks like, the benefits that founders can expect to gain from the programme and how early-stage founders can apply to be a part of the programme.

Phoebe Davies is a Partner at Wynn Williams advising on a wide range of corporate and commercial law. Her legal knowledge alongside a pragmatic commercial approach helps her clients achieve their aims. She's worked with startups through to established businesses in sectors as diverse as agribusiness, technology and consumer finance.
Before doing cross-border venture building, Jeffrey ran Lightning Lab Tourism Accelerator in Christchurch. Prior to this, he spent 8 years doing a bunch of startup stuff while in Taiwan, including his own legal startup, joined 2 Korean startups (enterprise SaaS and travel tech respectively), as well as Taiwan Startup Stadium (TSS) dealing with startup development, investor relations and corporate innovation. While at TSS, he worked with 400+ investors and 130+ tech startup members covering various verticals. Before the startup journey, he spent 10 years as a legal professional, both law firm and in-house.
