Coffee & Lyrics - October- Presented by Freo Groove

Excited to announce that “Coffee & Lyrics”, featuring WA’s finest songwriters and poets, is back for the spring at Hybrid Warehouse in Fremantle.

It’s hosted by Freo folk duo, Sea Swallow, (also authors of the book Freo Groove) and held on the first Sunday morning of the month.

The feature artist for the October 5th session is the powerful lyricist and roots musician, Matt Cal from Kalamunda. Matt is a regular festival favourite and known for his blues influenced acoustic folk ballads and engaging performances. Guest poet for October will be Manveen Kohli, a British-Indian poet living in WA. She is a two-time finalist in WA’s Australian Poetry slam. Manveen’s debut collection “We Need To Talk” was published in 2023 through the Centre for Stories and Red River Press.

 The event starts at 10.30am and cafe opens at 8.30am. Given the coffee machine is turned off during the gig so we can all enjoy the music, best to get here early to grab your coffee and snacks and the pick of the comfy couches!

We will have a small release of early bird tickets for $10.

After that, it’s $15 online and $20 at the door.

Children under 14 are free.
