Creekside County has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Coffee Hornets at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Creekside County had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed by Bozeman at home to the tune of 61-22. Given Creekside County's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Bozeman is ranked 204th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Creekside is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Coffee is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. After both having extra time off, both teams will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 4:00 p.m. on December 13th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in the nation (Creekside is ranked 80th, while Coffee is ranked 99th).

With a playoff game on the line, Creekside rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Dragons by a score of 28-17.

Creekside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Roderick McCrary led the charge by rushing for 123 yards and a touchdown. McCrary has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Vinson Berry, who threw for 178 yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Coffee's offense rose to the challenge against a Hurricanes defense that boasted an average of only 11.5 points allowed. Coffee enjoyed a cozy 33-18 win over Cartersville on Friday.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Fred Brown and Khristian Lando. Brown had a great game and rushed for 206 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Lando was balling out in the loss, rushing for 162 yards while picking up 10.1 yards per carry.

Their wins bumped Creekside to 13-1 and Jefferson to 13-1.

Creekside beat Coffee 28-18 in their previous meeting back in November of 2021. Will Creekside repeat their success, or does Coffee have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.thanks
