OVERVIEW

This 2-hour workshop offers participants the following:

  • A brief introduction to the concept of Cognitive Diversity and its role in problem-solving.

  • An overview of Cognitive Biases: Do you know there are more than 187 cognitive biases?

  • A showcase of how you can use LLMs (e.g. customised GPTs) as your Cognitive Diversity Coach.

  • Specific recommendations about how to improve your Mental Models for analysis and problem-solving.

This workshop is open to MBA students, master's students, faculty, and professional staff at Macquarie University who are interested in exploring cognitive diversity and leveraging LLMs like ChatGPT and Claude.
Other interested participants are also welcome!

SPEAKERS

Dr. Roger Moser is a Senior Lecturer at Macquarie Business School, where he teaches courses like "Digital Transformation" and "Innovation & Business Development". Roger has been a proponent of cognitive diversity and decision intelligence since he joined Macquarie Uni, and he is extensively experimenting with how to leverage LLMs to make better decisions.

Dr. Hector Viveros Tapia is a Senior Lecturer at Macquarie Business School, where he teaches courses in HRM. He is a bilingual (English-Spanish) and a culturally sensitive professional. His approach to challenges is solution-oriented, reinforced by a professional background as an Industrial Engineer and as an academic with a PhD in Management.

This workshop is co-organised by the EDI Committee at Macquarie Business School and the Macquarie Minds and Intelligences Initiatives.
