OVERVIEW

This 2-hour workshop offers participants the following:

  • Brief introduction to the concept of Cognitive Diversity and how it helps with solving problems

  • An overview of Cognitive Biases - did you know there are more than 187 cognitive biases?

  • A showcase of how you can use LLMs (e.g. customised GPTs) as your Cognitive Diversity Coach.

  • Specific recommendations about how to improve your Mental Models for analysis and problem solving.

This workshop is open to MBA students, master's students, faculty, and professional staff at Macquarie University who are curious to learn more about cognitive diversity and how they can leverage LLMs like ChatGPT, Claude, etc.
Other interested participants are also welcome!

SPEAKER

Dr. Roger Moser is a Senior Lecturer at Macquarie Business School, where he teaches courses like "Digital Transformation" and "Innovation & Business Development". Roger has been a proponent of cognitive diversity and decision intelligence since he joined Macquarie Uni, and he is extensively experimenting with how to leverage LLMs to make better decisions.

This workshop is co-organised by the EDI Committee at Macquarie Business School and the Macquarie Minds and Intelligences Initiatives.
