    This in-person 1-day workshop aims to give people working in social support groups an overview of how to deliver group Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST).


    What is Cognitive Stimulation Therapy?
    CST is an evidence-based therapy for people with mild to moderate dementia.

    CST sessions actively stimulate and engage people with dementia. They provide an optimal learning environment with the social benefits of a group. CST can be delivered by social support group staff.

    This workshop covers

    ✔️ What is Cognitive Stimulation Therapy

    ✔️ Psychosocial approaches for dementia care

    ✔️ CST evidence and guidelines

    ✔️ CST principles & the facilitator’s role

    ✔️ How to deliver CST

    ✔️ Getting started with your own CST group.

    The workshop is interactive. There will be group discussions + role-play. Each participant receives a CST manual for group facilitators at no cost to them.

    Lunch and refreshments included.
