Time: Friday 9 October 10am-2pm Location: Fish Creek Memorial Hall Supper Room During this songwriting workshop Eliza will share insight into writing a song and provide helpful prompts for times when inspiration doesn’t strike. This session is for everyone and will cover collaborative songwriting, lyric writing, melodic hooks, writing to a brief and song structure. Eliza believes that everybody has a story and she will share how you can tap into yours through song. Each person will have the start of a song by the end of the session, combining all of these new skills. Accessibility is at the heart of this inclusive workshop. Eliza Hull has written music for TV, radio and film. She has toured nationally and internationally and performed in venues such as the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne Recital Centre. A founding member of Blink Dance Theatre, Jessica has spent over a decade creating and leading inclusive performance projects and community arts programs. Her practice explores creativity, connection, movement, and play, designing workshops that encourage curiosity, expression and social connection while celebrating the relationship between body, environment and community.

Carly is an award winning writer, speaker and appearance activist. She works part time at Melbourne Fringe as their Access and Inclusion Coordinator. She writes on disability issues for publications including ABC, Daily Life and SBS. She was named as one of Australia’s most influential women in the 2014 Australian Financial Review and Westpac 100 Women of Influence Awards. She has appeared on ABC’s You Can’t Ask That and Cyber Hate with Tara Moss, and has been a regular on various ABC radio programs. Carly has written her first book – a memoir called Say Hello, and is editing Growing Up Disabled in Australia. Read her writing on appearance diversity and disability at carlyfindlay.com.au
