Young Artists Workshop – Collaborative Creek Collage
Description
Join us for a hands-on Young Artists workshop inspired by fish, aquatic plants, and the living ecosystem of the Broken Creek.
In this creative session, children will make paper-cut shapes of fish and water plants, loosely inspired by the bold cut-out style of Henri Matisse. Young artists can create their own individual pieces to take home, and will also have the chance to contribute to a shared group artwork — a long, flowing creek collage that stretches down the table.
This playful workshop encourages creativity, collaboration, and connection to our local environment. The finished group piece will become part of a growing body of community-made art, with the potential to contribute to future celebrations later in the year.
