Event description

Have you got an idea for how you can build a stronger workforce?

WorkUP is launching it’s second round of Collaborative Workforce Grants to support organisations* to develop the capacity of their staff and services to respond to workforce challenges. You are invited to join WorkUP on April 20th at 10:30am to learn about the grants and start formulating your ideas.

The Collaborative Workforce Grant program will provide grants up to $10,000 (from a pool of $50,000) for an activity or project to be completed within 12 months.

The grants must align with WorkUP and the sector’s shared workforce priorities to grow, retain, develop, support and connect the workforce, and sustain services. Please refer to your region’s workforce plan.

We are focused on collaborative projects that benefit the workforce and increase capacity within the domestic family violence, sexual violence and women’s health and well-being sector*. Funding is not available for the cost of existing services.

Examples of projects funded previously include a research project into a professional supervision model across perpetrator intervention services, a community of practice in regional Queensland, and a series of yarning circles to connect services and increase their understanding and capacity to work with First Nations communities.

The grants will be a great opportunity to work together on a project that you may have had in the back of your mind but need support to action. If you would like more information, please register for our information session on Tuesday, 20th of April at 10:30am.

This is a live webinar. We will email participants the login details before the event.

You can visit our website at WorkUP Queensland to find out more about our work and the development of the regional workforce plans. Please contact us on workforce@healingfoundation.org.au if you would like more information.

WorkUP Queensland is delivered by The Healing Foundation and ANROWS to build and grow capability and capacity of the sexual violence, women's health and domestic and family violence sector over the next five years.

* Organisations must be funded by the Queensland Government to deliver Domestic and Family Violence, Sexual Assault and Women’s health and well-being services. The majority of organisations within the collaboration (and lead agency) must fit the above criteria and the main beneficiaries of the capacity building project must be the workforce of this sector.
