Collage Workshop: Two days with Elspeth McCombe

CLIFTON SCHOOL OF ARTS is pleased to offer a 

TWO-DAY COLLAGE WORKSHOP WITH ELSPETH McCOMBE

Dates: Friday 16 and Saturday 17 May from 10am-4pm

Cost: $380.00 + GST and $350.00 +GST for members of CSA

Class size limit: 12  

Closing date: 13 May 2025.

The 2 day workshop suits all levels 

Some materials provided, but please read the notes.

Elspeth McCombe is a well-known local artist who has been exhibiting since 1981. She uses a wide range of genres, but she says collage is one of her favourites. 

This is an excellent opportunity to understand and experience the benefits of working with collage. Over the two days you will go over the basics to help you understand the process of collage and its versatility. 

You will create a still life or landscape using a variety of painting and drawing materials and techniques

A few notes

• Some materials are provided but please bring your own painting materials and brushes.
• Watercolours and acrylics, with primary colours are best. 
• This workshop is not suitable for oils.
• You may choose to bring items such as reference material (A4 size), decorative papers, cards, fabrics, words in the form of poems letters etc to personalise your work

• Tea and coffee are provided, but please bring your own lunch.
• Parking is challenging so please try to carpool, but it’s important to allow extra time to find parking and a walk to CSA.
• You could choose to use public transport (No 2 bus) which stops outside CSA.
