Join us for First Thursdays in Te Hau Kapua - Devonport
Hear Beatrice talk about her journey through creation, craftsmanship and adornment jewelry and her experience as a World of Wearable Art artist and create your very own WOW adornment necklace!
View close up selected pieces from Beatrice's 10 finalists from her World of Wearable Art garments,(2010-2019). Beatrice will talk about her inspirations, how her garments are constructed, from shoes to the pairing adornment jewelry, and explain the story behind each piece as well as her use of unusual materials including Perspex, beetle wing and recycled miniature dolls pieces.
The second part of the workshop teaches participants how to create a ribbon in Perspex using a heat gun and how to make an adjustable double sliding knot cord necklace. Bring your smart phone to record the demo!
Suitable for age 15 plus.
Tickets are $X and cover all materials and refreshments courtesy of our hospitality partner Waiheke Wines. Koha will be accepted upon entry.
