COLLECTION FOCUS #5 : Underground @ Vasse Felix : 11am, 4 October 2026
Description
Curated by Emma-Clare Bussell in collaboration with Matilda Fletcher, Assistant Registrar - Janet Holmes à Court Collection.
Underground delves beneath the surface to explore hidden histories, truth-telling, memory, and our enduring relationship with the natural world. Juxtaposing contemporary and historical works, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on what is seen, what remains unseen, and the profound stories that emerge when we take a deeper look.
Through artworks that connect us to the land, Underground offers space for contemplation and discovery. Launching as part of the third annual Southwest Heritage Festival, unfolding amid the spectacular surrounds of Wilyabrup, showcasing landscape works from the Janet Holmes à Court Collection.
