Event description

If you attend two Moonee Valley Sustainability (MVS) events this year, then this should be the second one. (The first being the writing sesison on the Planning Scheme Review 09/08). If you missed that one - even more important you attend this one!!

These are THE TWO most important pieces of consultation processes in Moonee Valley City Council (MVCC) that we need to influence. The review of the planning scheme and the consultation on the Council Plan 2026 - 2030. Both of these documents play a major role in the protection of our tree canopy, permeability of our spaces, the resilience of our community against heat and flooding and how we move about our community.  Essential stuff. Come along, bring your laptop and learn about how you can take part and have your say.

7 - 7.20 The Council Plan and the Process - Let us explain how important this document is in getting stuff done and then help you write a personalised letter to our Councillors asking them to prioritise things that you care about. This is our opportunity to set targets and impact spending on initiatives such as electrification, emission reduction, waste reduction, and the funding of community programs.

7.20 - 7.40 Your response - Lets write a response together.

7.40 - 7.50 Help us guide you to fill out the Your Say Survey with some key information and data to ensure that our trees are better protected and our city more resilient to flooding and heat.
