Waiheke Collective Film Festival - A Kindness to the Land - The Don Chapple Legacy

An evening with Forest & Bird and Waiheke Resources Trust

As part of the Waiheke Collective Film Festival, Forest & Bird and Waiheke Resources Trust invite you to a special evening honouring the late Don Chapple, a tireless advocate for the restoration of Waiheke’s natural environment.

This event features raw, reflective footage of Don speaking from the Matietie wetland, interwoven with kōrero from a local panel exploring Waiheke’s long history of environmental care. It will be an interactive evening to share stories, insights, and hopes for the future,  celebrating collective efforts to restore the whenua and deepen our relationship with it.
