Colorado Radio for Justice PRE-RELAUNCH PARTY!
Event description
Join us to support COLORADO RADIO FOR JUSTICE as we prepare to RELAUNCH!
In 2023, our operations embedded in state prisons as Inside Wire: Colorado Prison Radio were forced to pause, because our partnership with the Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) abruptly ended.Â
Now, with your help, we're relaunching as Colorado Radio for Justice (CRJ)!Â
Join us for an evening of celebration, sound, and possibility. Share small bites and beverages... make a bid in our silent auction... get exciting news about our recent audio awards... hear sneak previews of CRJ audio that's currently in production... and catch up with the core team: Herbert Alexander, Ryan Conarro, and Seth Ready. The party is generously hosted by our fiscal sponsor, Youth on Record, Denver's music and media education hub.
Your pledge and ticket purchase support our relaunch, from creative workforce development for our system-impacted producers, to our broadcasting platform and music libraries, to reestablishing and growing our equipment setup.Â
Emerging from Inside Wire's award-winning work. Colorado Radio for Justice (CRJ) once again provides 24/7 broadcast of music and talk via webstream and app, as well as on-demand podcasts featuring original stories and interviews, all supporting, empowering, and amplifying the voices of people impacted by the criminal-legal system in Colorado and beyond. Want to know more? Check out our website! www.radioforjustice.orgÂ
...Here’s everything you need to know for the CRJ Pre-Relaunch Party:
When and where is this happening?
Thursday December 5th, 5 to 7pm. Hosted by Youth on Record, 1301 West 10th Avenue. (Note: please be sure to include ‘West’ and ‘Avenue’ in your Maps app!)
Where can I park?
There’s street parking readily available throughout the neighborhood.
What should I wear?
Come as you are! Most folks will be coming wearing their work-day attire, which may mean any number of looks - all of which are welcome. If you feel like glowing up with a sparkly jacket or hat, we won’t be mad about that.
I pledged my ticket, but I haven’t made my actual donation yet. How do I do that?
Thanks for asking! Please be ready to do that at the door. You don’t need to worry about having your reservation pulled up on your phone, just give us the name under which you made the reservation. Our team will check you in, and then we’ll ask you to use a QR Code to make your donation using your phone. The QR Code will take you to the CRJ Colorado Gives page, and that’s the place where your donation will be doubled by our matching campaign! … The Colorado Gives platform allows you to donate using your credit card, Google Pay, or PayPal. If this feels confusing, don’t fret; our team will be there at the door to guide you.

I have a question or an idea and I need to talk to someone!
Let’s find each other at the party! Come say hey to our 3 Co-Directors: Herbert Alexander, Ryan Conarro, and Seth Ready. If you want to reach us before the event starts, zip a note to Ryan, and he’ll do his best to get back to you: ryan@radioforjustice.org.
