Price $25 AUD Get Tickets

Event description

Picture yourself sipping a cup of tea, surrounded by a mesmerising display of exquisite Art Deco china, boasting intricate details and vibrant colours that defined this iconic design period.

Hosted by the Leeton Presbyterian Women's Association, this delightful afternoon tea takes place at the Presbyterian Church Hall. Despite its modern improvements, this building captures the essence of the Art Deco era, so indulge yourself in a selection of delectable treats served on crockery and china sourced from the period.

Immerse yourself in the wonder of this collection, curated by colour, featuring the orange, black and green typical of the period, with reds, blues, pinks and yellows and the iconic motif of the Crinoline Lady, which mainly appeared after World War II with gold chintz on Art Deco moulds as the industry struggled to get back into production, despite shortages.

Take a moment to refresh and recharge in this enchanting setting as you prepare for the evening's festivities. This Afternoon Tea is a rare opportunity to experience the beauty and grace of the Art Deco era while enjoying the restorative qualities of a comforting cup of tea.

A selection of Art Deco pottery will also be offered for sale.
