Colourful Local Landscape (ART NIGHT OUT)
Event description
The event: Paint a Hunter Valley Landscape
The Hunter Valley is known for its big wide skies, wrap around hills, and lush vineyard views — and in this relaxed workshop, we’ll show you how to turn that iconic scenery into a beautiful artwork of your own.
Landscapes can seem tricky or technical, but we’ve designed this project to be simple, fresh, and enjoyable for both beginners and more experienced painters. You’ll use just a few easy shapes and lines to build a scene that you can make your own — whether you prefer soft pastels, rich natural tones, or something bold and bright.
You’ll learn how to:
🌄 Create a rolling landscape using simple layered lines
🎨 Mix a colour palette to match your style — soft, bold, neutral or bright
🖌️ Use blending and brushstroke techniques to add depth and interest
🖼️ Finish with confident touches that make your painting pop
There’s no drawing required, no rules to follow — just step-by-step guidance, plenty of support, and space to play with colour and enjoy the process.
