đ żď¸Most accessible parking and transport to Sir Walters âżACROD accessible parking is available in Car Park 4, near the IGA, at the top of the hill. đ A paved pathway leads from Car Park 4 to the venue (Building 425). đThe nearest bus stop is located on South Street, with accessible paths leading into campus.
Entry instructions
đ§Sir Walterâs Restaurant is located on Level 2 of Building 425. If arriving from Car Park 4 (near the IGA): o Follow the paved, level path past the Student Hub (Building 430) toward Building 425. o Enter through the main entrance on the ground floor (Level 1). o Use the lift near the foyer to go up to Level 2. o Sir Walterâs is located directly opposite the lift. If already inside Building 425: o Follow signage to the Level 2 lift or stairwell access. o Sir Walterâs overlooks the central garden area (Winter Garden).
Toilet location
đ˝Accessible and gender-neutral toilets are available on the ground floor of Building 425. ⢠The toilets are on the ground floor of Building 425. ⢠You are now on Level 2 at Sir Walterâs Restaurant. ⢠To get to the toilets: o Use the lift (elevator), or go down the stairs. Additional accessible toilets are nearby in Building 430 (the Student Hub), around 50 metres away via a level path.
đ Event Timing
Staff will be around from 2:15pm. The event runs from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. Come and go whenever you like â stay for 5 minutes or the full hour.
đ˝ď¸ Food & Drinks
Food will be on the table â help yourself. Labels like "gluten free" will be used for dietary needs. Order drinks at the counter using the table number. A staff member wearing a âProud to Support the Sunflowerâ lanyard can help order drinks please feel free to ask.
đż Sensory info
The space is quiet, relaxed, and air-conditioned. Hands-on activities will be available. Feel free to bring stim tools, earplugs, or anything that helps you feel comfortable. There are many exit points which lead to outside areas to take a break anytime. Ask staff for directions if needed.
đ What to Expect
A casual space with students and staff. There is no need to be professional. Light conversation is common, but no pressure to talk. Youâre welcome to observe, communicate in different ways, or just be yourself. This is a safe and inclusive space and everyone is respected and accepted as they are.
