Come Dine for Palestine
Event description
With Ramadan fast approaching, we are so excited to invite you all to join us for a beautiful evening of Palestinian food and Dabke on March 23rd, in collaboration with @oliverootscollective. Everybody is welcome, whether you’re Muslim or not – this special Iftar dinner promises to be an unforgettable night, featuring delicious Palestinian dishes, irresistible knafeh from South London's fantastic Palestinian-owned Bunhead Bakery and the wonderful Dabke Gathers. Dinner will run from 6.20-7.40pm, with a short break, before an hour of dabke led by Dabke Gathers.
Doors for the evening will open at 5.45, and will close at 6.15, with the fast being broken promptly at 6.22. Our menu for the evening will be fully vegetarian, and largely vegan; we will do our best to cater to all other dietary requirements that we are made aware of. Please do flag any dietaries when buying a ticket, if relevant. Prayer spaces (gender segregated), and a bathroom for wudhu will also be available for those in our community observing Ramadan.
Whilst tickets have been priced at £35 per head, we have available a low income option, which is a Pay What You Can ticket. If you are unable to attend this event, donations are very welcome!
This event is family-friendly, so guests of all ages are welcome, and we hope to see as many of you as possible.
All proceeds will go to MAP’s emergency response.
